Who we are
Tipsy Chat operates the website at tipsychat.net and the companion chat service described on it. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Tipsy Chat.

Scope of this policy
This policy covers information collected through the Tipsy Chat website, the chat interface and any email you send to us. It does not cover third-party sites you reach through links.

Age requirement
Tipsy Chat is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anybody below that age, and we delete such data if we discover it.
4.
Information you give us
This includes the nickname you choose, the messages you send in a chat, and anything you write to our support address.
5.
Information collected automatically
When you load a page we receive standard technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the time of the request.
6.
Cookies
Tipsy Chat uses cookies to keep your session active, remember basic preferences and measure aggregate traffic. You can block them in your browser, though parts of the site may stop working.
7.
Analytics
We use aggregated analytics to understand which pages are read and which are ignored. Analytics reports do not include the content of your conversations.
8.
Chat content
Messages exchanged with a companion are stored so the conversation has continuity. They are linked to your session, not published, and not shown to other users.
9.
Purpose of processing
We process data to deliver the service, keep the conversation coherent between visits, prevent abuse, respond to support requests and improve the product.
10.
Legal bases
Where applicable law requires one, we rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service, and consent where consent is requested.

Marketing communications
We only send email if you ask for it. Every message includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately.

Sharing with service providers
Limited data is shared with hosting, security and analytics providers who act on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

No sale of personal data
Tipsy Chat does not sell personal data, and does not rent, trade or otherwise make it available for another company's marketing.

International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Retention
Account and chat data is kept while the account is active and for a limited period afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law.

Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your data by writing to privacy@tipsychat.net. We action verified requests within thirty days.

Your access rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, in a portable format where technically feasible.
18.
Correcting your data
If information we hold is inaccurate, tell us and we will correct it.

Objection and restriction
You may object to certain processing or ask us to restrict it. Where the request is valid we will comply or explain why we cannot.
20.
Withdrawing consent
Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out beforehand.

Security measures
We use encryption in transit, access controls, logging and regular review of our infrastructure to protect the data we hold.

Breach notification
If a breach affects your data and creates a meaningful risk, we will notify you and the competent authority within the timeframes required by law.

Children's content
No part of Tipsy Chat is designed for minors, and all companion characters are written as adults.

Automated processing
Companion replies are generated automatically. This processing produces conversation only; it does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Third-party links
Pages on Tipsy Chat may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own and we are not responsible for them.
26.
Do Not Track
Browsers send Do Not Track signals inconsistently, so Tipsy Chat does not respond to them. Use the cookie controls in your browser instead.
27.
Complaints
If you believe we have handled your data badly, contact us first. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
28.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new revision date.
